Fees
At Wellness with Diabetes, appointments are designed to provide clear, practical and supportive diabetes education in a way that feels personalised, unhurried and easy to understand.
Fees are based on appointment length, allowing time to discuss your current health needs, answer questions, review diabetes management strategies, and create a plan that feels realistic for everyday life.

Medicare Rebates
Clients with a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, often referred to as a GPCCMP, may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $61.80 for diabetes education appointments.
Eligible clients can access up to 5 Medicare-subsidised allied health services per calendar year under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan. These services may be used for one type of allied health service, such as diabetes education, or shared across different allied health providers, depending on the referral from the GP. Diabetes Educators are listed by Services Australia as eligible allied health professionals under GPCCMP referrals.
To access the rebate, a referral from your GP is required before your appointment. Medicare states that eligible services must be part of the patient’s plan, at least 20 minutes in duration, and are capped at 5 services per calendar year. The current MBS benefit is listed as 85% = $61.80.
Private Appointments
You do not need a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan to book an appointment. Private appointments are available for clients who would like diabetes education, lifestyle guidance, or additional support outside of a Medicare referral.
Private appointments are paid in full at the time of consultation.
What Your Appointment May Include
Depending on your needs, appointments may include support with understanding your diabetes diagnosis, blood glucose monitoring, medication or insulin routines, lifestyle and food choices, diabetes technology, gestational diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, or creating realistic strategies for daily management.
The aim is to help diabetes care feel clearer, more manageable, and more connected to your overall wellbeing.
Questions About Fees or Rebates?
If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, please speak with your GP before booking. Your GP can confirm whether a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan is appropriate for your health needs and provide the correct referral.
